Marie graduated from Bristol University in 2006, following placements within zoos, exotic animal veterinary practices and an elective placement in the Avian department at GWR. She then moved to Kent to take up a position as a first opinion exotics vet, before returning to GWR in March 2008 as a Resident in Avian and Exotic medicine. She is currently studying for the RCVS certificate in Zoological medicine and is especially interested in reptile and exotic mammal medicine.
After graduating from the University of Berlin in 2004 Bianca spent two years of clinical rotation (internal medicine, soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, emergency/critical care and cardiology) at the Small Animal University Clinic.
Bianca joined GWR in 2007 as an Internal Medicine Assistant and is enrolled for the RCVS Certificate in Small Animal Internal Medicine.
Silke graduated in February 2002 in Leipzig, Germany. Following graduation she started a 2-year-internship at the Small Animal Hospital at University of Berlin where she stayed as an assistant until February 2006. During the last two years she gained experience in internal medicine but also developed her interest in surgery as well as in emergency and critical care.
In February 2006 she moved to the UK and worked in a first opinion small animal practice for eight months. In September 2006 Silke passed her “Fachtierarzt für Kleintiere” exam (German certificate for Small Animals).
In October 2006 Silke joined Great Western Referrals to complete a European College of Veterinary Surgery residency. She is also enrolled in the RCVS Certificate for Small Animal Surgery.
Minh graduated from the National Vet school of Alfort in France in 2004. The following year, he completed a rotational internship in small animal medicine and surgery in one of the most prestigious french referral practice “Centre hospitalier vétérinaire Frégis”. He was then enrolled as a consultant in exotic pet practice in the same clinic in september 2007 giving first and second opinion appointment. In September 2008, Minh joined Great Western Referrals to complete a European College of Avian Medicine and Surgery Residency.
